Alfie is an independent rapper/singer/songwriter who is beginning to spread his name throughout the hip-hop community on the east coast of Canada. With a name like Alfie how can you not be intrigued!? Born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Alfie brings an oddly unique and refreshing flavor to the local hip-hop scene, masking blunt messages with clever lyricism. He is known to stay sharp and out of the ordinary while maintaining a relatable persona. Head to one of his live shows and you will be sure to know who Alfie really is by the end of his set.

After releasing his first official mixtape titled ‘Before I’m Gone’ (completely produced by one of Nova Scotia’s top producers, Cam Smith, and featuring verses from Cam as well as R&B singer Earl B) in 2010, Alfie has gone on to release ‘These Are Songs You Can Fly To’ in 2011, and ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ in December of 2012. With future projects already in the works, and collaborations lined up, there is a lot more music to be created by this 24 year old.

Down The Rabbit Hole’ marks the first real movement for Alfie, leading to live shows, interviews, and video shoots. Alfie’s first official music video ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ featuring Aux Jennings was released in December and instantly grabbed the attention of local hip-hop followers. Teaming up with some of Halifax’s top up-and-coming hip-hop artists like Jay Mayne, and Cam Smith, Alfie has a massive variety of local musicians, producers, videographers, and artists of all sorts at a personal arms reach. Alfie has put on his game face and has started to take his abilities and talent more serious, and reaches to bring his status to higher levels. His self-produced EP, due to come out this summer, is already in the works, and the level of talent to be featured on this project is the ‘crème de la crème’ of what Halifax Hip-Hop has to offer right now!
